My name is SUSANA (SANA means HEAL in Spanish) and coincidence or not I feel like my mission is to heal and it is probably the main purpose of my life. I have been diagnosed with secondary bone cancer last year. Third time I am having to deal with the reality of cancer. But enough about that, because I want to focus my energy on the positive and you know what, I am living my best life and will continue to do so. It’s the perfect time to focus on my big dream to study for 1 year the Natural Chef Diploma.

Why do I want to do this? Because I want to help others eat healthier, find a way to support the community, younger generations, the planet -through food.

I have always been passionate about food. Am always watching food programmes, reading magazines about food, buying cook books and experimenting with food. I also try to combine what I learn in courses with what I like and the food and flavours I grew up on.

My aunt in Colombia had a food business called Violy and I remember I loved visiting the small factory of delicious goods. One of the happiest days of my 11 years in London has been when I went to the Creative Vegetables course in Le Cordon Blu. I learned a lot and had so much fun. I have also done a nutritional coaching course online. But I am hungry for more and in a more professional way reason why I am asking for your help in making my dream come true.

I will certainly try to give back to everyone that supports me in this journey, I would like to create a cooking book and maybe offer you some nutritional support or a guide to improve your healthy goals.

My philosophy is to go back to the essentials of eating, choose better food, more natural, grown locally and organically in order to be in tune with nature and let our bodies synchronise again with it. But also enjoy and don’t feel guilty if you want to indulge once in a while.

For total transparency I am trying to raise £8,000, which is the cost of the course in the College of Naturopathic Medicine in London.
