Breast cancer, round two... As if once wasn't enough! Our beloved mom, friend, co-worker, brightest light, Susan Meckelson, has been diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer. Stage 4 is a scary term, and for those who aren't familiar, it typically means treatment methods are meant to "control" instead of "cure" this horrible disease. Naturally, we reject this idea and are searching far and wide for a cure and any treatment options we can get our hands on.
Luckily, we've got an "in" at Dana Farber Cancer Institute (one of the best cancer treatment centers in the country, located in Boston MA), and are working hard towards getting mom seen and treated there. Between travel, lodging, and out of pocket medical expenses, the bills are quickly adding up, which is why we've created this page.
