my grandma Susan amstad is seeking urgent help to get her back home in New Zealand to start her journey on end of life.

on March the 5 2024 while in new Zealand, my grandma received a message her youngest daughter’s life was tragically taken in a house fire in Australia, she instantly packed her bags to come to Australia, meanwhile dealing with ongoing deterioration related to multiple myeloma.

she applied to access voluntary assisted dying here in NSW, unfortunately she was refused access to VAD due to residency issues.

In her wish to die with dignity she is being forced to fly back to her home in new Zealand with her daughter and apply for VAD again there.

we are seeking support to help get her back home and complete her journey she’s hoped for.
