SURPRISE The Hess Family

Hi there--As many of you already know, Brandy and I have decided to coordinate a SURPRISE fundraiser for Kathy, Steve, Alishan, and Kenting.  After much thought and prayer, we have felt led to collect anonymous donations through a private "Go Fund Me" page.  Kathy had, in passing conversation, mentioned to Brandy that they had always wanted to attend the "Our Camp China" family camp that takes place yearly in the mountains of NC.  This is a unique camp for families who have adopted children from China, as it submerges them into their culture (exposing them to Chinese traditions, music, games, etc.).  Our goal is to raise enough money to send the Hess’s to this camp that takes place at the end of July.  We are intentionally reaching out to those who know Steve and Kathy personally, as we want to respect their need for privacy as they deal with and face one of the most difficult times in their lives.  

 So, what if we do not meet this monetary goal?  Or what if they want or decide to use this money in another way?  Well, we will just raise as much as we can with the intention of sending them to this camp.  And whatever we raise will be given to the Hess family as a blessing from their close friends and family.  Money can only be helpful during a time like this, and they will be able to use it in any way that they desire!

Again, I would like to reiterate that this a SECRET/SURPRISE.  So we are asking everyone to please keep this off Facebook and avoid mass emails.  We really want to contact only those who we can trust to keep this information private and those who would sincerely like to bless the Hess family as they face Steve's illness.
