Surgery Support for Shauna

at the end of May I gave myself the gift of a breast augmentation. Three weeks into healing I developed a crazy infection on both sides. I spent five days not eating, convulsively shaking, and waking up drenched in sweat, all while my suture areas were leaking  discharge from both nipples. My surgeon decided I needed emergency surgery, needed both implants removed while I recovered with six weeks of antibiotics. I am currently healing with drainage tubes stitched in my chest.

My surgeon told me this was one of the only cases he has had of infection in his office, and such a crazy infection they had to bring in specialists to figure out what happened. 

After hearing this I asked him “what is my chest going to look like if I can’t afford to get implants again?”

I already had been healing for 3 weeks, they went in during an inflammation period of healing and used a power washer inside my chest. They already opened up the muscle behind my boobs and placed an implant there.... and then took it out. But my surgeon couldn’t answer my question. He told me not to worry about what my boobs will look like now and to focus on getting better. And I’m trying, but they don’t look right. My boobs are not normal. And I’m terrified they won’t ever look normal again. 

I am, after healing, allowed to get implants placed back in with precautions of course.
