Olive's Surgery Fund to Get Back On Her Paws

Donation protected
I never anticipated my baby Olive ever needing surgery since she's perfectly healthy on all other accounts, especially for an almost 10 year old pupper, but as of August we've discovered a rapidly growing mammary tumor on her belly.

It's already late into December, making it almost 5 months that I've had to save every penny to even barely cover the 286$ it took to have radiology and bloodwork done to get her cleared for surgery at her age, but with this recent trip to the vet it's become apparent that she needs this surgery much more urgently than I'm capable of providing for her. She's reached the point of discomfort in any position, and in this last week she's gone from zoomies around the house and daily tug of war battles to being so pained to move that she yelps trying to get comfortable anywhere or jumping up onto her favorite chair. I'm needing to carry her almost everywhere she needs to go.

To say I'm living paycheck to paycheck would be an understatement. It terrifies me not having any idea when I'll be able take care of her and being completely helpless when I see her so tense and disoriented the more her pain grows. Especially after just seeing her with so much life and energy just the other day. Olive has been in my life since her mama Lady passed away peacefully after the 16 years we had with her. The thought of losing my sunshine and best friend only halfway into her life just because I couldn't afford such a minor common surgery is mortifying.

She's been prescribed an ointment to keep the high risk of infection down as this tumor is starting to break the skin, but we don't know how long she has before it goes beyond easy repair. Spaying and removing her uterus (the cause of this tumor) will cost 70$, and the removal of the tumor can go anywhere from 20-70$ with the worst case reaching 100$ depending on complications and how complex it will be to remove it. The biopsy to check if it's cancerous and/or will return is the steepest expense at 141$, and the follow-up appointment is 50$ which brings us to around 400$.

I'm not used to asking for help, especially knowing it's tight for a lot of people around the holidays so I want to thank you for even thinking of my girl, but anything and everything would mean the world to see her like this again. ♡
