Surgery for Esmath

Donation protected
Esmath Sainval, the administrator of the Meal-a-Day school in Carrefour, Haiti injured his shoulder during a motorcycle taxi accident in Haiti three months ago. He has a torn rotator cuff and needs to have this surgically repaired. Unfortunately, this surgery is not accessible in Haiti without risky complications, such as being paralyzed. In order to help him to be able to work and live with the full use of his arm and without pain, we would like to provide him with this surgery in the US. An orthopedic surgeon has offered to do this work for free, but we have to fund the use of the surgi-center. Please help us raise the funds to help our brother.

Go Fund Me has asked me to add this information:  I am Stephen Johnson, a good friend and brother in Christ of Esmath's.  I am on the Board of Directors of the Christadelphian Meal a Day Fund of the Americas, the organization that sponsors the school Esmath administers.  I am from Bloomington, Illinois and every few months go to Haiti to work on Meal a Day issues.

While the surgeon is offering his services for free, the surgi center and anesthesiologist have to be paid for.  We have an estimate from the surgi center for both of these services and along with airfare  this comes to $6,000.  The surgi center and anesthesiologist are requiring payment in full at least a week before the surgery, which we have now scheduled for August 17.  I will be paying for the two medical bills and the airline tickets.

Wow! We're so amazed at the generous outpouring from all who gave to this fund. Thank you! We will be scheduling Esmath's surgery for August, Lord willing.
