Surf Equipment for Afro-Colombian Youth

Hey y’all,

 

My name is Iyana and in part of my photo exhibition Las Olas Del Mar , I am writing to you today to ask for your support for surfing equipment for the La Liga Surf del Chocó.

 

You can empower kids by supporting Liga de Surf del Chocó, a league in Colombia that brings the transformative power of water together with the Nuquí, Chocó, a remote region on the Pacific Coast of Colombia.

 

This league consists of 35% of girls and was created to provide opportunities for young people interested in surfing, with the possibility of making it to the national surf team Equipo Colombiano Junior de Surf.

Surfing is that experience that creates a sense of freedom. The sand, atmosphere, sunshine, and water brings healing and true bliss making you feel alive when you ride the wave.

 

This opportunity is important for the kids because surfing is another form to connect them to the water and they need to practice with proper equipment.

This league is full of amazingly talented kids who are taking the waves by storm, but they need new surfboard equipment. Please help the league reach its goal to purchase surf fins, leashes, traction pads, and wax.
