Hello Friends,
I am pleading on behalf of my family who went unexpected trouble in these difficult times.
On March 8th, my father came to USA to visit my new born baby with excitement, healthy and sound. Unfortunately, the excitement could not last long. He became sick within a week and started struggling with new symptom everyday.
After few weeks of ER visits, multiple tests including Biopsy and CT/MRI scans, he has been diagnosed with Abdominal Tuberculosis which is a type of extrapulmonary tuberculosis and also found that it already impacted other organs and there was infection in Gallbladder and Lymphoma. Before we could get a specialist doctor’s appointment, his health deteriorated as his infection is spreading rapidly. My father underwent multiple surgeries but his body is not able to fight due to age factor. He is being monitored in ICU since past two weeks. COVID-19 pandemic made it more difficult and worse for us. We cannot visit him and cannot get extra specialists from outside. Doctors are struggling to keep him out of other infections including COVID-19. We are allowed to see him only once a week for few hours. This is hard on us as well as my father.
Doctors are doing thier best, We are praying for his recovery, but the length of his treatment and its associated cost makes it unsustainable for us thereby adding to our distress. Insurance is covering only a fraction of the charges and they are estimating at least few more months of hospitalization, post acute care and treatment to keep him going. The fund collected under this campaign will really help us to save my father.
We are already feeling embarrassed to come out like this but we started our family few years ago, still settling down and now this hit us.
Please help us through these difficult times and every penny helps. No donation is too small.
