Study abroad in Guatemala

Growing up in a low-income home and being a first generation college student I am particularly passionate about helping those who are underrepresented. I have chosen to dedicate my time and efforts for underrepresented people based off of many experiences, relationships, and chapters of growth throughout my life. Studying abroad in Antigua, Guatemala would help me focus on issues in education throughout Latin America and in Guatemala, as well as issues affecting immigrants from Latin America to the U.S. Additionally, I will gain hands on experience visiting schools, teaching English to young Mayan children, and exploring villages. I truly believe that with this opportunity I can expand my knowledge and help impact the lives of others. I am motivated to work hard and deepen my understanding in this field; I just need the opportunity and support to do so. So please, if you are able to contribute to my dream, I ask you to help me.
