Jake's Recovery

On January 25th Jake was in a horrific car accident, sustaining spinal cord and pulmonary injuries that have changed his life forever. Tragedy struck on his way to his roofing job from dropping his girlfriend, Diana, off at her work after he hit a sheet of black ice, flipping his truck three times tossing him from the vehicle. He was immediately life-flighted to OSF in Peoria and is currently in the Neuroscience ICU fighting for the ability to breath on his own again. Even with his spinal cord surgery, having rods and screws put in place, Jake has lost feeling and function from his lower chest down. He is now facing another surgery and a long road of treatment, procedures and rehabilitation.

Anyone who knows Jake, knows he’s a fighter. We don’t want the heavy burden of paying medical expenses to hinder our son’s healing process. With his strength, God, and all of our support he’ll continue fighting this battle. We understand many may not be able to donate generously. However, any amount is greatly appreciated and would make a significant impact in his on-going recovery.
