Typically, this cancer is mild and non-spreading, but in Tom's case, it has metastasized, presenting him with a challenging battle ahead. He has already embarked on his journey with initial radiation therapy and chemotherapy, which necessitates treatment in Kelowna, where specialists for this rare condition are located.

While Tom fights tirelessly for his health, his family stands by his side, offering unwavering support. However, the financial burden is immense. His wife, Mako, and their three sons, Jake, Eddie, and Sam, are grappling with the overwhelming strain of medical costs, daily expenses, and the uncertainty of the future.

Tom's roots run deep in our community. Having lived in Castlegar for most of his life, he has consistently exemplified positivity, generosity, and goodwill. Now, it is our turn to rally around him in his time of need.
