The Jim Chick Family

As many of you know, Jim Chick was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer almost 1 year ago and sadly passed this morning. In the last couple of weeks his health had declined drastically and he had been admitted to the Poppen Residence of Harbor Hospice. Jim's insurance does not cover the entire cost associated with this and Michelle is not currently working so she could assist in Jim's around the clock care. Jim was their primary source of income and life insurance will not cover everything. Jim and Michelle have been huge parts  of Sailor Nation and were instrumental in the Mona Shores Youth Club and getting it built into the organization it is now. Jim also had a great impact on many young men in high schools around the area as he served as a football ref and baseball umpfor many years. Jim was a very active member of the Vikings and the Miss Shoreline Organization.  Jim was a man that would give much of his time and energy to any organization that reached out to him and never expected anything in return. Jim's family is in need now and it's our turn to step up for the Chick family as they have always done for the community. Any amount you can spare is greatly appreciated and, please, share this campaign as we all work together to help Michelle, Bill, Greg, Jimmy, Tom and Tim to not have to worry about anything except being with their family during this difficult time.
