Supporting Stephanie's Surviving Family Members

It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of the passing of Ms. Stephanie Rivers, a beloved mother due to what we believe to be complications related to COVID-19. Stephanie is the mother of six, Nasir who is 13 years old and in the 7th grade, Shannon, a junior in high school, Naija-Li Rivers, a second-year at SUNY Geneseo, Tristen, Tasha, and De'Andra, who will now be solely responsible for her younger siblings. She also has one grandbaby, Vincent. 

Ms. Stephanie was selfless, a fierce advocate for her community and passionate about volunteering anytime that she could. She spent the week before falling ill distributing donated food to those in need. 


She had a big heart and a larger than life personality that made everyone she came into contact with feel just as special to her as her children. Her love and impact on all of us will never be forgotten. 

Ms. Stephanie’s surviving children could use your support in any way that you can give. In these uncertain times of social distancing and heightened fears, De'Andra, Naija-Li, Shannon, and Nasir are grieving the sudden loss of their mother.
