Help Sigfreid's family

Director, producer and movie-lover, Sigfreid Sanchez, had various medical procedures over the last year.  He ultimately lost the battle on Jan. 3rd. Now, his family will have to find a way to pay off the last two hospital bills and cover daily expenses. The heart bypass operation and latest hospital alone still has a balance of $57,000. This is after insurance and community help. Since Manila, Philippines is still under lock down, his wife, Kaye, has been struggling financially for the last two years. To help cover expenses, she and the kids have organized various online sales in the past year like selling plants and clothing. Any help you can provide will be a load off for Kaye and the kids. Unfortunately, he, among many in the movie industry in Manila, Philippines, has not been able to work or earn enough to take care of his family. On top of his family's living expenses, he has incurred over $12,000 in a most recent hospital stay. Sigfreid is relying on support from family and friends to make ends meet. Now the doctor's have advised him to have a bypass surgery within the next six months that will cost another $20,000. He's doing all he can to find the strength to be well enough to have this surgery. Let's give him hope through financial support. 

Over the years, Sigfreid Sanchez, or Direk -- as his film mates have dubbed him, has inspired many young Filipino filmmakers. He regularly participated in free film seminars and workshops in schools throughout the Philippines. Direk has also offered his films to garner funds for others who have needed financial support. Most of his films have themes of hope and fighting for human rights. To demonstrate support for other artists and student filmmakers, he even had cameos in their films. 

Father and bread winner of four boys, Direk lives in Manila, Philippines, is the second oldest brother of my husband, Sylvester. This is the second long-term hospital stay within 7 months and has exhausted all other avenues. His medical bills have climbed faster than his wife, Kaye, can cover. He racked up over $12K US in fees, and only going up from there. This is after his hospital stay last year where friends and family rallied to raise $5,500. On top of this hospital stay, we are already helping him with rent and bills. There are also other costs to consider like his medicines and follow up doctor's visits.  Until Direk can recover and Covid restrictions lifted, his family has minimal resources and job prospects.
