Supporting Sandra during Breast Cancer Treatment

I am starting this GoFundMe to help Sandra and her family during her treatment for Breast Cancer. It's not an easy thing for Sandra to ask for help. Anyone who knows her knows she is always the one giving others her help. But this journey is one she needs our support through.

Sandra has been diagnosed with Stage Four Triple Negative Breast Cancer and is starting treatment. Even though the chemotherapy itself is covered under OHIP, so many of the other drugs used to treat the effects of chemo and support the body through treatment are not covered. Nor are the countless other expenses when your life gets upended by this diagnosis. Parking at the hospital, programs and care for her kids, and special dietary needs are all adding up. To improve her treatment journey, Sandra is seeking the help of specialists and therapies, which also cost a lot of money.

If you don't know Sandra and her family's journey, they sold their home last year and bought an RV with the plan of taking a trip across Canada with her four beautiful kids. They had hoped to hit the road in late August, but this diagnosis came. They have had to put their plans on hold to allow Sandra to undergo treatment. Without any income, they are going to need our help.

Sandra deserves the chance to focus her energy on loving her kids while overcoming this diagnosis - and not have to worry about the financial side of this journey. I hope that we can help her in any way we can.
