Hello, my name is Zoe, and I'm reaching out for help during a challenging time for my partner, Mike, and me. Recently, Mike was involved in a terrible accident that left him with a shattered pelvis/hip and a broken wrist. Being in traction for 10 days unfortunately Mike developed blood clots in his lungs. He recently underwent a nine-hour operation which was successful. It has been a very traumatic time for us both.

Mike's recovery journey could potentially take up to a year. As he cannot work due to his injuries, and being self-employed, he's not eligible for much assistance. Additionally, I will have to become his full-time caregiver, adding further strain to our finances.

While we're applying for government support, the process is slow, and we're facing mounting bills. Mike will need constant care, especially during the initial six weeks when he can't bear weight on his feet.

It's been a difficult decision to create this GoFundMe page, as I feel vulnerable asking for help. However, the reality is that we're facing a healing road ahead that will take time, emotionally and financially. Mike is still in the hospital, and we're both exhausted from the ordeal.

People have been asking how they can help, if he needs anything and that is why I decided to create this fundraiser as money will help.
