Supporting Jessica, Gary, and Kaedra

This GoFund me has been started by Jessica’s friends, to allow a
place for people who have asked how they can help, to pitch in
towards some nice to haves for her and her family.

**If you haven’t read Jess’s blog post, PLEASE read it here  before
reaching out to her! She has outlined her story, and what she finds helpful and harmful to hear from people really well and it’s
important to give it a read before reaching out to her. Gary would prefer not to receive calls or messages at this time.**

Many of you have been following Jessica’s pregnancy, birth, and
coinciding cancer diagnosis. Despite chemo and surgery during
pregnancy, and more chemo postpartum, the cancer has spread.
Jessica is in the process of more treatments to slow the
progression of the cancer, but unfortunately, the medical goal is no longer to put the cancer into remission, but to buy her time.
Again, Jess is explicit about not wanting advice or suggestions for
treatment, and requests folks read her update post  before
reaching out to her with any comments!

As you know, doulas and birth educators are self employed and do not receive maternity benefits or life insurance.
Jessica has spent so much of her adult life dedicated to supporting women and
families and we know that so many of you want to
contribute to her in a tangible way so here is a way to do it that’s
easy for us, as her support peeps, to manage!
Jessica wants to be clear that her family feels they are privileged
to have enough money to meet their needs, but is humbly
accepting her community’s request for an easy way to pitch in
towards some things being organized for her family.

Funds raised here will help allow their family the ability to have
extended quality time together and provide resources for Jessica, Gary and Kaedra’s
care in the times to come.

We gratefully receive any contributions as a message of love and
support and giving back if you feel called and are able to give in
this way.
