Supporting Early diagnosis of CANCER ♋️

Donation protected
Hi my name is Ramesh K Waltho-Brar, mother of Dhneep Neepy Bains.

This is a cancer awareness fundraising page in memory of Dhneep (Neepy) Bains who was diagnosed with a Ewing Sarcoma (a rare form of cancer, mostly found in younger people) it was near her left hip, beside her pelvis area. Neepy was sadly Diagnosed in April 2018 and our lives changed forever.

This supports increasing awareness amongst health professionals and achieving earlier diagnosis of cancer for all. So many of you have lost family and friends in similar circumstances to our Neepy- they were ignored for too long and their diagnosis came too late.
Due to many passed over opportunities by her GP, by the time Neepy had finally been taken seriously she was diagnosed too late, her cancer had spread, she was ignored for too long by her GP.
Despite chemo and radiotherapy treatments she sadly passed away in July 2020 aged only 26.

Our aim is to raise funds for other young people in this situation, making it possible for them to obtain a private MRI to hopefully achieve an early diagnosis to allow treatment to start at the earliest opportunity. Earlier cancer diagnosis is essential to improving cancer survival.

Dhneep was a beautiful, kind young lady both inside and out, and wanted us to continue her fight against cancer in the hope of saving young lives.

We Public awareness campaigns have a place, but it is our doctors who refer us Time and time again we hear devastating stories of patients taking the initiative and seeking help only to receive platitudes and unsubstantiated explanations for poor health. Cancer is invariably the last consideration. If possible, please share your thoughts through this online forum.

We will be adding further fundraising events.

We have also started a petition that pushes for a change in the law with GP referrals: GP’s to refer young adults for X-rays after 3/4 visit to the surgery, https://chng.it/fKWHj9nL

Dhneep known as Neepy Bains my gorgeous daughter, my true best friend in the universe died at the age of just 26 July 2020 from Ewing Sarcoma Bone Cancer!

As Neepy was sent away by doctors so many times, she wrote her own Story, urging others to get checked out. She said I don‘t want anybody else to suffer like I’ve had to suffer’. She wrote in her own journal before she died: One piece of advice I can guarantee particularly the ages between 35 and under- if you feel weird in any shape or form, body feels different, continuous pain or even if its a one- off - GO TO YOUR DOCTOR !!!!!! No matter how little or small your problem you make sure you get your arse down there and keep going if they send you packing.”

After Neepy Passed away I, her mother Ram, started campaigning to raise awareness of cancer and early diagnosis and to do something positive for Neepy.
  • I worked with the
https://http:/www.gazette-news.co.uk charity Teenage Cancer Trust to do this via their BestToCheck Champaign.

We want to raise as many funds as possible to help contribute to the cost of private X-rays and MRI scans to help young people who suspect they have cancer or any other illnesses, to get their diagnosis sooner.
