Supporting Afrah After the Loss of Sohail

Hello, my name is Afrah Ahmed, and I find myself reaching out to you with a heavy heart. At the age of 23, life has presented me with an unexpected challenge.

On August 26, 2022, I married the love of my life, Sohail Iqbal. Sohail was not just a husband; he was my friend, my partner in dreams, and the reason for countless smiles in our home. His infectious joy, jolly, caring nature, and dedication to family and (ok )friends created a warmth that is now painfully absent.

Tragedy struck on December 4th, around 12:30 am, just 20 minutes away from me. Sohail was taken from us in a car accident caused by a drunk driver. The suddenness of his departure has left a void that feels unimaginable.

Sohail was the backbone of our family, handling everything, including the purchase of our home. Now, without him, I'm faced with the responsibility of managing a substantial mortgage and the bills that pile up. Currently I am unemployed, and the weight of these financial obligations has become overwhelming.

I never anticipated being in this position, but life has a way of throwing unexpected challenges our way. In honor of Sohail's memory and to help rebuild our lives, I've initiated this GoFundMe campaign.

Purpose of the campaign

The funds raised will go towards paying off the house for the time being and addressing immediate financial needs. Your support will provide stability during this difficult time, allowing me to navigate this challenging period and focus on healing.
