I am the daughter of two hard-working parents who have sacrificed everything to provide me the best life that they never had. My parents, 20 plus years ago, took all their life savings and invested it into a small family-owned photography business called Image Studio. The family business has provided for our family for many years. It put my siblings and me through college and provided a comfortable life. I have created this GoFundMe page to help support my father's local business, which has now been closed for over two months. My father has dedicated his life to this business, and unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 crisis, it is unknown whether his business will survive. As a small business owner, my father qualifies for the SBA loans, but due to such high demand for those loans and the limited money available, he has not been able to secure an SBA loan; Any donations will be much appreciated, and will be directly deposited into the business's account. The funds will go toward business expenditures (rent, payroll, and livelihood) It is surreal to believe that a business that has been around for over 20 years in the same location will have to close for good!
I know as a nation, we are struggling amid a pandemic and an economic shutdown, but when we as a nation work and support one another, there is nothing we can't do. I hope those who can help keep this local business from shutting down for good, will show their support by donating what they can or spreading the word of this campaign. Why this place holds a special place in my heart as a member of the community
This may be a small family run business, but it has been a part of the community for many many years. The owner has survived the selfie and cellphone era because of the local and loyal community members who have been coming to this studio for decades. The owner has been photographing families for generations within the community. He has seen their children grow up, graduate high school, and have families of their own. This is a place where families come together to capture a special memory; a photograph that captured a special event in their life, whether it be a newborn baby, a birthday, high school graduation, holiday portraits, or a marriage, The owner is someone who loves his profession. He enjoys providing families with a picture that they can hopefully cherish forever. This business has grown with its community, has provided families with long-lasting memories, and he has been there for the community with what is could in times of need.
