Support for Adelaide & Chantelle

Don protégé
Adelaide was seriously injured in the Nice Bastille Day attack on the 14th July 2016. She is making incredible progress, but is going to need a lot of help along the way.

She sustained multiple fractures to her face and skull and horrific injury to her leg, which has required surgery for skin grafts. She has scarring to her face and body from more than 50 stitches which will need further treatment, however this cannot start for twelve months. It will be a long recovery and she will require extensive and varied treatments over the coming months and years.

In an unexpected twist of fate Adelaide's mother Chantelle, who was recently diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, has suffered an acute relapse. Initial treatments have proven unsuccessful, and she now needs a new treatment over the next twelve months and beyond. The cost of this is not Government subsidised on the PBS (Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme) and will be tens of thousands of dollars upfront in the next year alone.

Our family is so grateful for all the love and support extended to us since Bastille Day. We know how very lucky we are to have Adelaide with us when others have been less fortunate, and our hearts go out to them every day.
