Help Flint Youth Poets Get to BNV!
The RAISE IT UP! Youth Poetry Team is an immensely talented group of teens (ages 13-19) who use their poetry to explore critical personal, social, and political issues impacting young people and their communities. This critically-acclaimed youth poetry team has been featured in Teen Vogue, PBS NewsHour, Huffington Post, Buzzfeed and shared the stage with Stevie Wonder, Angela Davis, Janelle Monae, Jesse Williams and more.
For the past seven years, RAISE IT UP has sent these young poets to represent the city of Flint at the Brave New Voices International Youth Poetry Festival:

At Brave New Voices, youth poets have opportunities to connect with hundreds of youth poets from all over the world, participate in writing workshops led by experienced educators and influential writers, and dialogue about issues impacting their lives and communities at town hall forums.
Each year, we have been able to provide this transformative experience for our youth through the support of our community!
Your donation will support the team's air travel, ground travel, lodging costs, and food so they can attend Brave New Voices later this month!
