Support youth and the arts at Dance Revelation

When I started Dance Revelation almost 15 years ago, it was with the desire to mold students into skilled dancers and accomplished young adults. My vision extends beyond the classroom walls into the local community. We’ve seen dancers graduate and go on to attend prestigious universities, join professional companies, and even dance in Hollywood movies. Every student who has come through our doors has been given the chance to perform, raising their self-esteem, confidence, and propelling them into their future.
When the pandemic started, we had to put our performances on pause, cancelling them or moving them in-house with smaller-scale productions. As we welcome a new season, we’d love to put our students back on stage to showcase their talents. We know how important this opportunity is to our dancers, specifically our older students who will soon be graduating and moving on to take the next steps into their destinies.
The pandemic has hurt small businesses across the country, and we are no exception. While we’ve been grateful to keep our doors open and our studios full, our student body is not the size it used to be. It has become more financially difficult to put on larger, more professional level performances. Many students and parents alike have come to us, and they’ve asked to partner with us to put on a professional performance this spring.
We have created this Go Fund Me to invite you to partner with us to make this spring performance a reality for our Dance Revelation dancers. On May 30th & 31st, our students will have the opportunity to perform at Whitaker Center Sunoco Theatre. We invite you to help us raise a minimum of $6,000 to cover the costs associated with this performance including $4,000 to rent the theatre’s space and $2,000 to pay the sound & lighting technicians to create a professional experience. We know the total event will cost roughly $12,000 & hope to capture the other half via ticket sales.
Thank you for joining us in support of the arts, our youth, and the local community. I am so grateful to get to do what I love and share my love for dance with our students.
Gratefully,
Ms. Jo
