I know the world is burning and we’re all literally paying for it, and I truly hate to ask for help, but here it goes:

I have been out of work for a year due to my disability. Standing is painful, sitting is difficult, walking is challenging, and jobs that would have me lie down are ones that I’m not looking to apply for…yet. My application for social security benefits is ongoing as I am now reapplying after being denied (damn the man!). My husband and I have been able to hang on with the help of my tamale sales, but sales were hindered when the city threatened me with fines (this fuckin’ man). And in the midst of this, I am not getting any better. I am getting surgery in June that will hopefully help with the constant pain, and recovery will have me out of the tamale biz for a few weeks if all goes well. Any money raised will go towards the hospital bill, rent/utilities, and maybe a DoorDash when I’m recovering on the couch. Please send tv show recs and well, your money. 6/14 update: my doc notified me with 7 days notice that I would need to pay $2000+ upfront. Sooooo… I will be saving up in order to reschedule the operation.
