Hello friends! I am looking forward to my very busy & exciting musical summer adventures--
On June 4th, my piece 'firn' will be premiered at National Sawdust (NYC) as part of the 2nd annual Hildegard Competition concert for trans, non-binary & women composers.
Soon after, I will be attending Nief-Norf Summer Festival (nnSF) in Knoxville, TN, where I will be performing tons of new/contemporary music on violin--both solo repertoire I am preparing, as well as newly written works. Performing new music & collaborating with composers is one of my favorite things about being a musician.
Finally, in July, I will be spending 2 weeks at Princeton to attend Sō Percussion Summer Institute (SOSI). This will be my first time as a composition fellow & I am very much looking forward to writing (especially for my mentor Josh Quillen) & studying under the wonderful faculty there.
I feel extremely privileged, though grateful for all of these opportunities! However, the cost (tuition + travel) of doing more than one summer festival, even after receiving some scholarship is not cheap. I am not seeking to raise the entirety of my owed fees (about $3800), as I have been doing my best to save up, but any help would be incredibly appreciated!
