Support Vic's Fight Against Stage 3 Cancer

This is my amazing brother-in-law, Vic. A year ago, he could tell you that his life was as close to perfect as it could be. He’s married to the love of his life, my sister, Bonnie. They have a beautiful thirteen-year-old daughter. Vic was finally in a career that was fulfilling in every way. He had become a barber where he enjoys talking with his customers and making a difference in their day.

Near the end of summer, beginning of fall, Vic started to experience pain. Like the trooper he is, he just worked through it. After months of dealing with pain that would bring most of us down, Vic finally sought a diagnosis. Vic is battling stage three cancer.

During his pain and navigating diagnosis, Vic tried to continue to work as much as possible to keep his family above water. He is self-employed, renting a booth at a well-known shop. He has missed many days due to the pain he has been experiencing. Starting next week, the middle of May, Vic will begin to undergo both radiation therapy and chemotherapy. He will be receiving these treatments five days a week for at least eight weeks. Bonnie, his wife, would like to be at Vic’s side as much as possible. Given that Vic is self-employed, he will be losing out on most to all of his income. This loss of income from him, and the loss from days Bonnie takes off to be at his side, is already causing financial hardships.

In speaking with Vic and Bonnie, their biggest concerns are their normal monthly bills, keeping food on the table, and covering copays and deductibles for Vic’s treatments. If you find it in your heart to help out, even the smallest amount, their family would be incredibly thankful.
