October 2024, Vesna Peric received the news that she had been diagnosed with an aggressive nasal-pharyngeal cancer that had spread to her lymph nodes. As a single mum to her 14-year-old son, Atisha, Vesna has shown incredible strength and grace while navigating this unexpected path.

Throughout this journey, Vesna continues to meet each day with courage, guided by the advice of her support team and held by the unwavering love of her friends. Yet with no family in Australia, Vesna hasn’t had that foundational support that many people navigating cancer can depend on. In her journey so far, she has lost significant weight and finds daily tasks including her ongoing treatment commitments increasingly challenging. Despite this Vesna remains committed to the path of healing and holds the vision of a full recovery.

Vesna is someone who has always given so much to those around her, radiating selflessness, compassion, and a deep sense of connection. Her kindness and generosity have touched the lives of many, and now we ask for your help to return that love and support.
