Support "Verse": Our Off-Off Broadway Debut!
Donation protected
We are thrilled to announce an exciting new production, Verse: A Horrible, Horrible Tragedy. Verse is an absurd, film-theatre-hybrid comedy that pushes the boundaries of what theatre can be. This project is Rhett Goldman and Addison Vaughn’s full length debut as a creative duo in New York City.
The play employs the experimental writing style and techniques of 90's New Queer Cinema filmmakers, jumping between genres (comedy, drama, movement) and mediums (live and pre-recorded performance). With this non-traditional piece, we hope to make our debut in NYC’s Off-Off Broadway scene with something unique and unforgettable.
Verse has been accepted into The Tank NYC’s PrideFest and is a co-production with The Club Creates. The Tank is NYC’s leading nonprofit theatre organization committed to breaking down economic barriers for emerging artists by providing free rehearsal and performance space. The Club Creates is an artist collective focused on giving young multi-disciplinary artists early career connections.
With your contributions, we will be able to:
- Pay artists for their work and time
- Cover production costs such as props, costumes, and scenery
- Market and promote our show to audiences
- Secure locations and film equipment for the show’s pre-recorded elements
Production Timeline:
