Undegun Arts @ Ty Cornel needs your support.

I am a Voluntary Director of Undegun Arts, a social enterprise, which has established itself in the heart of Wrexham as an important centre for all arts-based activities. We are looking to raise funds to ensure the continued running of our grass roots community led arts space, Ty Cornel in Wrexham City centre, which consists of a gallery and creative space, along with affordable artist studios and incubation spaces.

Ty Cornel has become the new home of Undegun Arts after our former premises were sold, leaving us in need of a new home, just as the Covid-19 pandemic hit! It has been a challenging couple of years for our organisation, surviving the pandemic, struggling to secure new premises during lockdown, rebuilding our gallery and studios and recovering from the financial effects of this prolonged closure. We have big and exciting plans for the future, but we need support to get there during these challenging times.

We care deeply about our town and we are personally committed to working with the creative community that exists here. All proceeds raised by Undegun Arts go back into making more things happen in the future and no profits are made.

We believe that the arts and culture can make this town, and the world a better place, and that it is important to retain the community we have established at Undegun, so that the spirit of creativity can flourish.

We aim to provide:

· A safe, supported environment for everyone who wishes to become involved

· A place where creativity is the norm, and everyone is encouraged to take part

· Affordable studio/practice space

· A mix of art exhibitions, educational outreach, community art and craft sessions.

· Exhibiting opportunities for people of all ages, social backgrounds and career stages.

We support emerging and early career artists as well as artists with disabilities, neurodiversity, and mental and/or physical health conditions - 88% of our current members fit one or more of these categories.
