If you know Trevor you love Trevor. If you don’t know Trevor you still have the opportunity to support one of the kindest, funniest (he thinks), and genuine people you could ever meet.

 

Trevor is a 31 year old teacher from Brantford, Ontario. For the past 8 years Trevor has been teaching internationally in Indonesia, Kazakhstan, and Colombia. Trevor has an uncanny ability to connect with everyone he meets; whether it’s a stranger who will soon become a friend, a coworker, or a student, Trevor makes everyone feel valued and included.

 

A harsh reminder of how unfair life can be occurred on May 5th, 2021 when Trevor was diagnosed with stage 4, metastatic colon cancer which has spread to his lymphatic system and spine. After receiving spinal surgery, two rounds of radiation, and one round of chemotherapy in Colombia he has moved back to Canada to resume treatment closer to family and friends.

 

Normally cancer treatment is covered by our Canadian health insurance, however Trevor experienced a rare side effect to one of the drugs most commonly used to treat colon cancer, which led to heart failure, making it too risky to continue with this drug as treatment. The alternative option that gives Trevor’s treatment the best chance of success is unfortunately not covered by insurance. One year of treatment with this drug will cost around $20,000 CAD.
