Support Trent and Kristina

Trent and Kristina need our help! Kristina suffers from something called cerebrospinal fluid leak, this is a pinhole puncture in the spinal cord that allows spinal fluid to leak out into her back. She also has Ehler Danlos Syndrome (EDS) & Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia syndrome (POTS.) All of these issues cause her great pain as well as seizures, she is bed ridden and cannot move. This all started in July 2018 when she had a Lumbar Puncture (Spinal Tap) and the pinhole never healed. There are four specialists in the U.S. that can perform the procedure she needs and two of them are in California. The Stanford DR is willing to come to Washington and get an emergency certification to perform the procedure in a hospital here, as well as teach other DRs how to do it. So far one hospital has already denied this request and they are waiting on a response from a few others. If none of the hospitals here will allow this procedure they will have to find a way to transport her to California which is extremely dangerous in her condition. Trent takes great care of Kristina, although its hard because she is in constant pain. It is 24 hour care because she is unable to do anything for herself at this time. Her condition is too complicated for inpatient, shes too sick for a nursing home, and to hire a nurse to care for her is too expensive. All of the care falls on Trent and family members who are willing to help. Trent is their only source of income and comes to work when he can but has exhausted all of his leave due to her medical emergencies. Financially this is hard! Her first trip to California was $47,000 out of pocket. If she has to go back to California itll be $20,000 just to transport her. It is $1,100 every time she is transported to her DR appointments. She has been to the ER 8 times just in November. Its $150 every time a nurse comes to change her PICC line dressing, which is a minimum of once a week sometimes more. Her hospital bed is $150 per month. Plus, they still have their monthly household bills. Trent and Kristina are loving, God fearing people and they need our help and support!
