This page has been created with permission of the family by Kerrie Miller, Jordan Miller & Tessa Buntin on behalf of our very dear friends, Trent & Claudia Smith of Young, NSW Australia. As you may be aware Trent, his Father Kenny and Nephew Nick were traveling to the NCHA Australia Futurity with a full load of horses when there was an accident. Sadly, Kenny passed away at the scene and Nick was air lifted to the hospital with serious injuries. In addition, 9 of the 17 horses on board were euthanized on site, the remaining 8 are being treated by a local Vet with various injuries. As you can imagine the massive loss to their family has left them devastated. Kenny left a legacy as an exceptional and respected horseman and a devoted family man loved by all. During their time spent in California Trent & Claudia built life long relationships within the Cutting Horse Community and consider you all their US family. Let's join together to support this wonderful family during this horrific time as they mourn the loss of their loving Kenny and the beloved horses within their care. We can't take their pain away, however we can show our support to ease some of the huge financial burden as a result of this tragedy. Also, thanks to all of the friends who have reached out to express their love and concern for the entire Smith family during this tragic time.
