Please Help Jesus with a COVID-19 lung transplant

I am the wife of Jesus and mother of our wonderful children 7 year old Victoria and 3 year old Erick .

I am here  to tell the story of my husband, Jesus, and what he has been going through at the young age of of 29 years old. Jesus my lively husband is one of the many victims of covid 19. He contracted the virus in early  July 2021. He was hospitalized a week later on July 24 which was also our son's 3rd birthday. After his hospitalization, Jesus was intubated. Due to the severe lung damage the only option was to connect him to an ECMO machine, which is extracorporeal life support, a extracorporeal technique of providing prolonged cardiac and respiratory support to people whose heart and lungs are unable to provide an adequate amount of gas exchange or perfusion to sustain life. After  several requests from the doctors he was accepted for ECMO, while he waited for a double lung transplant after spending 4 months in the ICU. The days felt eternal and he relapsed many times but he never gave up and kept on fighting .Jesus received a double lung transplant on November 20 ,2021.

Jesus was working but only for a short period of time at his job so he was not eligible to receive insurance or benefits.

With help from our extended family ,friends and the generosity of the hospital some of our expenses were taken care of. Unfortunately, we still had a long way to go. He was discharged in December 2021 and he came home to recover. A week after being discharge he had to return to the hospital since he was experiencing shortness of breath again. Another week  was added in the hospital. Jesus continues to be hospitalized because of infections and his body starting to reject his lungs.   Jesus is facing a long road to recovery both medically and financially .
