Hello everyone, my name is Wambo M. Kimba a Liberian lawyer, a humanitarian who has over the years worked for various non-profit in Liberia including Save the Children, this fundraiser comes as need to raise funds for marginalized teenage pregnant girls, who are survivors of rape and abuse. It is report that 3 out of 10 teenage girls have been exposed to the risk of being abused before their 18th birthday, a statutory age of consent to have sexual intercourse, but as of now it is not the case, girls between the ages of 13-17 years old have been raped and became pregnant by their abuser. What happens to those girls, during pregnancy and after giving birth? They are most often thrown out of their parents home, rejected by society, they are marginalized for giving in to sex at an early age. Society condemned and exorcised them. It is most likely they are unable to reach their full potential, because they are now responsible to provide for their child/ children and themselves. This fundraiser is to provide assistance with lodging, feeding, antenatal care, transportation to the hospital and emergency funds to those teenage mothers who suffering hardships as a result of rape resulting to teenage pregnancy. Please support this fundraiser with what you can afford to assist these survivors care for themselves and their babies.
