Dearest Yogis,
A little over 5 years ago I opened the first Tiny Buddha Yoga studio, our OG home at the corner of Pauline and Stadium on Ann Arbors west side. I had a dream of opening a studio that felt like a family, where it felt like and was, a real community. I believed in this dream and hoped people would show up once I opened. Happily they did and they kept coming, bringing friends and family along with them. Soon our TBY community grew and flourished into what it is today. What started as a pie in the sky idea has now grown into 3 studios and a large, passionate and beautifully supportive group of teachers and students. It's cliche, but I've poured my blood, sweat and tears into Tiny Buddha Yoga and am proud of what it has become thanks to everyone who is a part of it.
All that being said, like many of you I'm worried. Although TBY is providing and charging for live content, it sadly is not enough and we will run out of cash.
Funds from the campaign will go to:
-Keeping our leases in good standing
-Paying the teachers (because what are we without our teachers)
-Paying the support staff that has worked with me tirelessly through the shut down and without whom I would never have been able to pivot to online live classes or retail so quickly.
We're all in a very bad situation due to Covid-19. I want Tiny Buddha Yoga to be a part of the fabric of Ann Arbor that helps us all recover as a community. With your help I foresee us continuing to be a part of the community in the short term and for the next 5 or 10 or 20 years.
So if Tiny Buddha is important to you and you can comfortably help, we are asking for your immediate support. If you can give any amount, it would be incredibly helpful. There are other ways you can help us too. We launched the Tiny Buddha Swag store for online shopping in Mid-march. We will be launching new limited edition products there for as long as we can support doing so. We also have gift cards available (invite your friends and family to join in something that is so important to you, with our live classes they can now join in from the comfort of their home) and if you can't afford to help financially, you can continue to offer your words of encouragement and share your TBY stories with us, we love hearing them! <3
I believe this won't be the end of TBY but I do need your help. Thank you for everything. The past 5 years have been wonderful and I hope I can share the next 5 with you all. Thank you for supporting this community during the challenging time. We are stronger together!
