Support Thomasville Rescue Squad

The Thomasville Rescue Squad, Inc. was founded and chartered in Thomasville North Carolina in 1969. Since that time the Thomasville Rescue Squad, Inc. has contributed thousands of hours to the citizens of Thomasville and portions of Davidson County. The Thomasville Rescue Squad has a 100 square mile response district and answers between 1500 and 2000 calls a year. We provide Heavy Rescue, Medical Response, Stuctural Collapse, Confined Space Rescue, Trench Rescue, Swift-Water Rescue, Hi-Angle Rescue, as well as Urban Search & Rescue. The Thomasville Rescue Squad, Inc. is a 100% Volunteer Non-Profit 501(c)(3) organization. We DO NOT receive tax funding. Our annual budget is $130,000.00, which includes fuel, equipment maintenance, medical supplies, mortgage on our building, insurance, NC Rescue and EMS Association fees, and day to day operational costs. None of the members are paid. We receive $25,000.00 from the City of Thomasville and $17,500.00 from Davidson County one time a year. the additional $87,500.00 is made up of fundraising and the generous donations of the citizens and members. The United Way defunded us two (2) years ago, and left us trying to make up for the monies we received from them. We urgently need your assistance to continue responding to the ever increasing amount of emergency calls we receive each year.  We only have money to get us through the end of January 2017, and we will be completely out of money until July when we will get the money from the City of Thomasville and Davidson County.
