Archie Shoebridge’ fight against Cancer

Donation protected

Recently, our good friends Melissa & Michael Shoebridge have been dealt a hard blow, with receiving the devastating news that their youngest son Archie, has been diagnosed with OMAS - Neuroblastoma.

Archie has just been diagnosed with a rare Auto immune disease called Opsodonus Myoclonus Ataxia. 50% of children with this disease also have cancer. Unfortunately a tumour has been found in Archie's little body. More tests are currently being done and we will know more in a few weeks.

Archie was initially seen at Tamworth Base Hospital, before being flown to specialist care at the John Hunter Children’s Hospital in Newcastle.

During this difficult time, we only want Mel and Mick to be concentrating on getting their beautiful boy back to health, without worrying about finances & Accomodation.

Archie celebrated his first birthday on the 6th of August.

Mick was a Paramedic with us for quite some time, finishing up with NSW Ambulance as an Intensive care Paramedic, working in various locations that include Tamworth, Bingara, Sydney & Newcastle. Since leaving the NSW Ambulance, Mick has taken on a trade in landscape construction.

Mel owns and operates her own business from their beautiful new home in Tamworth as a home child care centre.

our thoughts go out to Mel, Mick & Isaac, As we support them through Archies journey.
