Support the Sustainable cities Conference 2021

Donation protected

Please be aware that as it stands our conference has managed to raise the funding we need to fund the initial plans of our conference. Nevertheless we have decided to keep our funding goal the same because we are hoping to use additional donation to make the conference even better.

Dear potential supporter,

Thank you for taking the time to look at this online conference project called ‘Re-imagining Sustainable Cities post COVID-19’, which will take place on the 26th of May. It is organized by second-year International Public Management (IPM) students at The Hague University of Applied Sciences (de Haagse Hogeschool for Dutch students).

We are all painfully aware of the fact that our planet’s climate is changing. Once we move past the COVID-19 pandemic, this extremely urgent problem will come to the forefront again, and the conference team wants to contribute to the process of solving it. More than half of the human population lives in cities. They are a key attribute in addressing climate change, which is why the conference team chose to focus on motivating officials and citizens to create sustainable cities. A variety of interactive lectures and workshops on sustainable cities will be hosted to help broaden the scope of the definition of sustainable in the post COVID-19 era.

Your money will go towards several parts of our project including marketing, program development and on location necessities. An example of one necessity your money will go to is the online platform that we will be using for our conference. This platform will be crucial to the success of the conference.

The conference will take place on the 26th of May. We are therefore hoping that we will achieve our funding goal before the 20th of May. To achieve this the fundraising will start in the beginning of April.

The conference team consists of the second-year group of IPM students at The Hague University of Applied Sciences. Financially supporting the conference means you directly increase the likelihood of the project being a success. Next to funding the conference, donations will support the academic careers of future public managers who will continue to fight climate change and other pressing international problems.

Any amount you are willing to spare will go a long way to help the conference team make the project a success and will be greatly appreciated. If you are not able to donate, sharing the project with others will also be appreciated.

Thank you in advance for helping the team.
