Overview
My name is Maruan Bahrour . I am a photo artist, organizer of various art events and founder of the InstantCologne , an international Polaroid exhibition within the 'Photoszene -Festival' Cologne. Right now I am collecting money to open an art gallery - with focus on photography - in Cologne. The special concept of this gallery would be to offer not only already established, but also emerging artists from all over the world a stage to present their works.
With monthly changing group exhibitions I would like to offer artists the opportunity to make new contacts and build networks. This gallery should also be a meeting point for cultural events and gatherings (music, literature, etc.).
At the moment I have some seed money and now I need your help to realize my dream.
Why now?
Especially in the current time more and more cultural institutions are threatened by closure. This would be a great loss for social life, since art enriches us all and connects people, especially in difficult times as such.
With my gallery I would like to contribute to a lively art scene at this very moment and offer artists a perspective and a chance for building a name for themselves.
How will this money be used?
Your donation will be used to pay the rent for the gallery for the first year (to ensure that the gallery can continue to operate and exist without interruption), and to cover inventory for the gallery - including a new floor, picture frames, screens and possibly the salary of a part-time employee to support me.
Who am I?
As already mentioned above, my name is Maruan Bahrour and I am a photographer, artist and the founder of the InstantCologne , based in the Cologne area. In the past, I have organized various art events and exhibitions for artists in Bonn, Hamburg and Cologne. As an artist my focus is on analog photography and especially on working with Polaroid. I have participated in many international exhibitions with the resulting works. I love the exchange with people, am curious about the creativity of my colleagues and have proven a good hand for planning and organization.

Übersicht
Mein Name ist Maruan Bahrour . Ich bin Fotokünstler, Veranstalter verschiedener Kunstevents und Gründer der InstantCologne , einer internationalen Polaroid Ausstellung im Rahmen des Photoszene-Festivals Köln. Nun sammle ich Geld, um eine Kunstgalerie - mit Schwerpunkt Fotografie - in Köln zu eröffnen. Das besondere Konzept dieser Galerie ist es, nicht nur bereits etablierten, sondern auch aufstrebenden Künstler*innen aus aller Wellt eine Bühne zur Präsentation ihrer Werke zu bieten.
Durch monatlich wechselnde Gruppenausstellungen möchte ich Künstler*innen die Möglichkeit bieten, neue Kontakte zu knüpfen und Netzwerke zu bilden. Diese Galerie soll auch ein Treffpunkt für kulturelle Veranstaltungen (Musik, Literatur, usw.) sein.
Zur Zeit verfüge ich über etwas Startkapital und brauche jetzt Eure Hilfe, um meinen Traum zu verwirklichen.
Warum jetzt?
Gerade in der jetzigen Zeit sind immer mehr kulturelle Einrichtungen von der Schließung bedroht. Dies wäre ein großer Verlust für das gesellschaftliche Leben, da Kunst uns alle bereichert und auch gerade in schwierigen Zeiten Menschen miteinander verbindet.
Ich möchte mit meiner Galerie genau jetzt zu einer lebendigen Kunstszene beitragen und Künstler*innen eine Perspektive bieten.
Wie wird dieses Geld verwendet?
Eure Spende verwende ich, um die Miete der Galerie für das erste Jahr zahlen zu können (um sicherzustellen, dass der Betrieb ohne Unterbrechung laufen kann), und um Inventar für die Galerie - einschließlich eines neuen Fußbodens, Bilderrahmen, Stellwände - zu kaufen und möglicherweise das Gehalt eines Teilzeitmitarbeiters zu meiner Unterstützung zu decken.
Wer bin ich?
Wie bereits oben erwähnt, heiße ich Maruan Bahrour und bin ein im Raum Köln ansässiger Fotograf, Künstler und Gründer der InstantCologne . In der Vergangenheit veranstaltete ich bereits verschiedene Kunstevents und organisierte Ausstellungen für Künstler*innen in Bonn, Hamburg und Köln. Als Künstler liegt mein Fokus auf analoger Fotografie und ganz besonders auf der Arbeit mit Polaroid. Mit den dabei entstandenen Werken habe ich an vielen internationalen Ausstellungen teilgenommen.
Ich liebe den Austausch mit Menschen, bin neugierig auf die Kreativität meiner Kollegen und habe bisher ein gutes Händchen für Planung und Organisation bewiesen.
