Sunday night around 8:30pm my brother-in-law Doug Noyes was on the shoulder of I-5 in Medford with his crew preparing to close down one lane to perform road work when a semi swerved over and clipped him with his trailer. The impact pushed Doug back into his work truck causing a severe injury to his back. The semi’s mirror was ripped off, along with the mirror and bumper of the truck Doug was pushed into yet the semi did not stop and hasn’t been caught to our knowledge. His co-workers quick reactions saved his life and we’re very thankful for them. Circumstances considered, we’re happy to say that no life threatening injuries were sustained. The only injuries to his back are soft tissue and muscle, he’s already undergone one surgery and will require at least one more. He will be out of work for months along with his wife (my sister, Sara) who will be caring for him and their four kids. We’re asking for donations to help with bills and necessities until supplemental pay kicks in. Anything will help so they can focus on his recovery and eliminate extra stress. All the prayers he received are greatly appreciated! It truly is a miracle that he is talking and will spend the next few days trying to walk again.
