Hello everyone, a little over a week ago, Kimberly Garrett (9 yrs old) took ill with complications of an asthma attack and Influenza A, resulting in a bacterial infection throughout her body. It escalated into many other unforeseen complications. Kimmie is now fighting for her life in the intensive care unit after collapsing in her mom’s arms at home and being taken to the local hospital where she was later transferred to a Children's Hospital in Detroit. Additionally, once in Detroit, Kimmie’s heart stopped and a nurse performed CPR. Since then, she was on life-support, and had heart surgery to remove the blood filling up inside of her heart. Kimmie has a long road ahead of her and at this time, we still don’t know what her future will look like. They have a lot to navigate as a family. None of us would have ever imagined what was thought just to be an asthma attack would have turned into having to create a “Gofundme” account, but SharRonnie and John have been by Kimmie’s side 24/7 at Detroit Children’s Hospital, not able to work. Our gratitude is immeasurable for any help received. Please continue to pray for Kimmie’s health, that she is fully restored and keep the Garrett Family in your prayers.
