Family, Friends, and Frosties,
It is with great sorrow that we share that our colleague and friend Derek Irvin passed away suddenly on Friday, August 31.
Derek was a Frost & Sullivan employee and worked tirelessly from our San Antonio office since 2013 as our MIS Help Desk Manager, providng excellent service to our employees day in and day out. Most Frosties likely worked with him at one point or another to solve your IT issues.
Derek was always willing to listen and assist however he could. Derek was also a sports lover and had a competitive streak. He competed each year for Frost & Sullivan in the San Antonio Corporate Cup and this year, he served as the Captain of our basketball team.
Most importantly, Derek was a son, partner, and father who leaves behind a loving family and two young children, Brooklyn and Eddie, ages 7 and 5. He was a true family man and could often be heard around the office sharing stories about his children, one of his favorite topics of conversation.
Derek’s passing was unexpected and as is the case with many unexpected events, the last thing the family needs or wants to worry about is finances and financial burdens. However, responsibilities continue and Derek was the primary provider for his family. His family really needs our help at this time. Please consider a donation in rememberance of our friend and keep Derek’s family in your thoughts and prayers. These funds will go directly to the family of Derek Irvin, his mother, wife, and two children.
