Support The Day Family

Donation protected
On Saturday night, Brian Day had a stroke and was rushed into emergency surgery. He is awake, but has no movement on his left side and no speech. No matter what, the road to recovery will be long and challenging for The Day Family. Let’s bless them by making finances the least of their worries as they face an uncertain future. All proceeds will go directly to Steph and Brian. Please support them in this difficult time and keep praying for miraculous healing!

Medical Update: On Saturday December 1st, Brian hadn’t been feeling well, they were visiting friends in OC all day. They went to Stephanie’s dad house in Escondido to stay on Saturday night. Brian was planning to stay up to work on seminary work, but was too tired. Brian and Steph were tossing and turning, the kids were sleeping on mattresses on the floor around them. Around 2am Brian started thrashing in bed, Steph asked if he was ok, and he did not respond. She asked again and he still didn’t respond. He tried to get out of bed and he fell.

Barry came in and turned on the lights because he heard the fall. Stephanie knew Brian was having a stroke and they called 911. It took the paramedics awhile to get out to Barry’s house. (He lives near the Safari Park.) Four paramedics came and they took Brian to the hospital. By the grace of God, the kids stayed asleep. They gave an emergency medication to break up the clot. Steph sat waiting at the hospital while they took Brian in to surgery.

They tried to surgically remove the blood clot and were unsuccessful. So they are trying to medicate to break up the clot.

The clot originated from the aneurism in his neck. They had originally put a coil and a shunt in the aneurism to keep the clots from getting to his brain. The shunt had moved and the aneurism had grown from the size of a golf ball to the size of a lemon. A clot travelled from the coil to his brain.

They said his speech and movement on the right side of his body are gone. (They are testing every hour for movement.)

Pray for full recovery of his speech and movement, dissipation of the clot and complete healing and recovery of his brain.
