Help feed the Animals & pay Keepers

My name is Maxine and I am the curator at Northumberland Zoo.
We are a family-run, not-for-profit organisation, so all money generated from visitors to the zoo is immediately reinvested into the staff, animals and development of the collection and projects.
We are very lucky that our extended family of animals includes over 400 animals of 100 different species. The animals vary from beautiful Birds of Prey, adorable little Mouse Lemurs, all the way up to our fluffy Canadian Lynx.
We have huge plans for the future and we are/were one of the fastest growing visitor attractions in the North East of England with high hopes for the future. In 2020, we were due to hit the 100,000 visitor mark, but this is clearly not going to be the case.
Our current situation:
The sequence of events that we are suffering with at the moment is no one's fault, however we have no idea how to move forward and even imagine the future. We have broken it down into stages:
1. The zoo is closed.
2. No revenue from admission tickets and secondary spend
3. 400 animals still require keepers 7 days a week
4. Keepers need to be paid full-time as they are key workers
5. Money does not last forever.
6. We don't even want to contemplate this stage.
During these times, we cannot send our staff home to work from home. We would classify them as key workers as they still need to come to the zoo to look after the animals.
Our overheads to keep us going are approximately £10,000 per week.
Any donations, big or small, would be most appreciated as we want to survive this pandemic and continue to provide a place for local residents to learn and experience nature. We want to remain a home for our amazing animals as well as a conservation education base to help secure our future.
