Support Terry Spike’s Fight

Terry Spike is a Machinist at Steel Store (Blaine, MN).  Terry currently lives in Isanti, MN. He is a United States Marine Corp Veteran, who studied infantry at Camp Pendleton in Oceanside, California.  He was active duty in the Gulf War. He served from 1990 to 1994.



Terry was Recently Diagnosed with Metastatic Prostate Adenocarcinoma Cancer, which caused a Skull metastasis with orbital involvement.  Terry also has widespread lytic lesions of axial and appendicular Skeleton. There are multiple pathologic fractures of the cervical, thoracic, & lumbar spine. Also, an AKI (Acute Kidney Injury). We are waiting on University of MN to Schedule Surgery on his Skull to remove the area with the tumor and replace with a titanium plate. Once he recovers from that, he will go after the prostate cancer with Chemotherapy.

Although it may never be a confirmed cause…. Terry was Given PB (Pyridostigmine Bromide) as an Anti-Nerve Agent pill during the gulf war as a pretreatment to protect military personnel from death in an attack with nerve agent soman. Supplied in the Gulf War as a 21-tablet blister pack, with prescribed dosage as 30-mg tablet every 8 hours. Veterans’ exposure is not known, because pills were self-administered and there are few examples in the individual or unit health records from the Department of defense. Following the gulf war, the onset of illnesses in many Gulf War Veterans prompted concerns the PB might have contributed to some of these illnesses.





 We know Terry’s recovery may be long and extensive, so we created this fund to help him with his expenses. Terry is no longer able to work, while he begins his journey to fight this disease. As his Mortgage, day-to-day, and Medical bills pile up, please take the time to Support with a donation!
