We Urge You to Help Us Reunite a Loving Family, Support Susroonya who was stuck by Thunder lightening at Reflection Pond near San Jacinto Monument in Houston on July 2nd 2023, She needs aggressive and prolonged care to give her any hope of realizing her dreams to be a successful Woman, Currently, she is unable to breathe on her own and is needing ventilator support with a tracheostomy and has a PEG tube to support nutrition while waiting for any return of brain function.
Today, I come to you with a heartfelt appeal for a cause Reunite Susroonya with their Parents, who are unable to be by her side during her critical illness. We humbly request your kind consideration and support for this urgent matter.
My Cousin Susroonya Koduru, a 25-year-old girl, came to United States like many of us to realize her dreams and was a Masters student in Information Technology at the University of Houston. Susroonya had nearly completed her Master’s program and was waiting for Internships. On July 2nd, she went sightseeing at the San Jacinto Monument and was most unfortunately struck by lightning near the reflection pond at the monument site. The strike caused her to go into cardiac arrest for 20 minutes before circulation could be restored. Subsequently, she suffered devastating brain damage and went into a coma. Currently, she is unable to breathe on her own and is needing ventilator support with a tracheostomy and has a PEG tube to support nutrition while waiting for any return of brain function. The MRI reports show signs of anoxic encephalopathy, a condition of the brain when it has been deprived of oxygen for a prolonged period of time. Susroonya needs aggressive and prolonged care to give her any hope of realizing her dreams to be a successful independent woman.
Susroonya’s parents are a middle-class family in India with limited finances. We are currently working with the US embassy to bring her parents at the earliest to be able to see Susrronya. Her parents wish to take her back to India to continue long term care.
At this moment, the most crucial need is to reunite this brave girl with her parents, who are anxiously waiting to be by her side and we are working with embassy with emergency Visas. Here's how you can contribute to making this possible:
Donate: Your generous contribution can help cover the expenses for a medical air ambulance ($250,000), specialized medical care during the treatment and Transportation ($50,000), out-of-pocket expenses for Acute Medical Care and Long-Term Acute Care ($100,000) in India and for other necessary arrangements. Every dollar counts and brings us closer to our goal of $400,000.
We firmly believe that every child deserves the love and support of their family, especially during challenging times like these. By joining hands, we can make a profound impact on the lives of this young girl and her family, offering them the comfort and strength they so desperately need.
Extend a Helping Hand: If you have experience in the medical field, air transportation, or any related expertise, we would greatly appreciate your assistance. Your skills, guidance, or connections could play a vital role in speeding up her Recovery as a Normal Girl.
Offer Your Prayers and Support: Even if you are unable to contribute financially or offer specific assistance, your prayers and words of encouragement are invaluable. Show your solidarity by leaving a message of support on our GoFundMe page or by reaching out to the family directly.
Share: Share our campaign with your network of family, friends, colleagues, and social media contacts. By spreading the word, you increase the chances of reaching compassionate individuals who can help make a difference. The power of collective support is immeasurable.
Thank you for taking the time to read about our campaign. Your support and compassion will bring us one step closer to reuniting this family and providing the care and love that this young girl deserves.
