Support Sunil Samayam’s family-Organzd by Friends

Sunil Samayam, 48, suffered a massive brain stroke, in the early hours of Thursday, the 28th of April. He is currently in the ICU of Carle BroMenn Medical Center, Normal IL. The left side of his brain suffered extensive damage due to a blocked artery, resulting in the paralysis on the right side of the body and hindering his ability to speak. He is yet to regain consciousness.

The doctors predict many months of rehabilitation and treatment. He will be handicapped for life with special needs, and won’t be able to work in any capacity,

Sunil’s family have been residents of the Bloomington-Normal (IL) area and he is currently on H1B visa working locally. His wife Sreevani is a homemaker, Nikhil (son) is wrapping up second year Pre-Med course, and Nithya (daughter) is a 10th grader in High School.

To have the ONLY breadwinner of the family become bedridden (with nursing care) is not only a challenging and physical adjustment, but will also drain out the family financially and emotionally.

The current treatment and hospitalization, and long term care for Sunil will yield huge medical bills, additionally there is an immediate need to support the family and kids' education.

Those who knew Sunil personally, will find him charming, caring, a loving dad, a wonderful husband, a true friend and a loyal teammate and an amazing human being as loved by many. Sreevani has been a dedicated volunteer in local ManaBadi and religious organizations for several years.

Though life won’t be the same for this family and cannot replace Sunil’s contributions, this GoFundMe will help lessen the stress such as medical bills and financial struggles that Sunil and his family will face along the way.
