Support Stacey in her recovery

Donation protected
Two months ago, Stacey was diagnosed with adenocarcinoma of the duodenum, a relatively rare form of cancer affecting the first part of her small intestine.  Soon after, Stacey underwent the Whipple procedure, a difficult and demanding operation that carried serious risks.

The surgery was deemed successful and Stacey is now cancer-free! but she is facing a long and daunting recovery process and may still need to undergo chemotherapy as a supplemental treatment. She has to be careful about infection and has already been forced to return to the hospital for a three-day stay to treat a bout of pneumonia.

During her recovery Stacey has to rest, build up her stamina, and retrain her body to accept solid foods which means she is unable to work. While several wonderful work colleagues have donated sick time and some funds, Stacey is still facing a few months of financial instability.

As we all know, it's hard to get better when you're stressed about money and worried if you can stay on top of your bills.   Stacey has insurance but has large deductibles and copays that leave little additional money for basic costs such as bills and rent.

Through our generosity, we can help Stacey through her recovery.

Thank you!
