Support Spike the Lesson Horse - Emerg. Vet Bill

My name is Christel. I work at Mission Ridge Stables and I am fundraising money to cover the emergency vet expenses incurred by one of our dear lesson horses, Spike.

Spike has been a beloved companion to many children and adults alike, helping them to learn how to ride and conquer their fears. Horses have been helping people for centuries; they provide us with transportation, labour, sports partnerships, companionship, etc. Despite all the work they do for us, they never ask for anything in return. Spike is a horse who has served everyone he meets with love and loyalty. He is an extremely gentle soul... the kind of horse you could put your 2-year-old child, or your 90-year-old grandmother on, and know they are safe because he will look after them. He has given so much to us, but now he needs our help.

On March 5th, Spike suffered from a pasture accident, causing injuries that require a significant amount of money for treatment. We are now turning to our community for help in raising money for his medical expenses so that he can continue providing joy and comfort to those around him. We need your help to ensure we can provide him with the best possible care.

Spike is an integral part of our lesson program, teaching us all about the power of connection between humans and animals. He needs us now more than ever. Every donation is greatly appreciated, and even a small donation will go a long way toward helping us get Spike back on his feet.
